I have not installed this Cat C15 piston-less in frame kit yet (it’s currently in the shop), but I think everything is in order for this to be a good rebuild for years to come. Save money and get a piston-less kit unless you have major engine issues like a broke piston rod etc. that may have damaged a piston.. Truck pistons are made of very thick forged steel so they can last forever under normal circumstances. You can merely change liners, rings, and bearings in the bottom end and have a new like engine with a piston-less kit and save major money! And if you really want it running like new make sure you get a new/reman. head, water pump, oil cooler, and turbo cartridge (the guts of the turbo) since they are off of the engine block already. Oil pumps can last a very long time, but if you are over a million miles or very close, you might as well change it too. Injectors can be changed later when you build your funds back up. And change any small lines or hoses that are in tight spots while your engine is tore down trust me! But you can definitely trust this company to ship exactly what you need and fast! And I hope this helped someone in the future...
